ADVERTISING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Heartbeat (the publisher) adheres to the following guidelines:

  1. Advertising rates are subject to change without notice. Signed contracts with current balances paid will be honored at the rate as outlined in the contract. Advertisers and advertising agencies are jointly responsible for payment of all insertions.
  2. Advertisers must pay in advance of ad insertion. Payment due with ad materials.
  3. Terms: Net no later than 30 days from invoice date.
  4. Agency commission: 15% of gross advertising charges to recognized agents only if paid within 30 days from the date of the invoice. For all orders placed through an advertising agency, advertiser is responsible if agency defaults.
  5. Requested positions are not guaranteed unless stated as a paid preferred position at a premium. Advertisers requiring special positioning will be charged an additional 15% over space and color charges. No additional charge for bleed.
  6. If a cancellation is necessary, it must be made in writing prior to the closing date. If a cancellation does occur after the closing date, a 25% cancellation fee will be assessed.
  7. All artwork is due on or before the Ad Material Due Date or a $100.00 late fee will be assessed.
  8. The publisher is not responsible for any errors or omissions in any advertising material provided by the advertiser or its agency.
  9. As an advertiser, you represent and warrant that none of the content you provide for advertising infringes upon any third party's rights (including, without limitation, intellectual property rights) or is defamatory, libelous, unlawful or otherwise objectionable.
  10. Advertising in the Heartbeat does not necessarily imply editorial endorsement. Any request for advertising space indicates an understanding of these terms and conditions and an explicit agreement to abide by them. If you have any questions or comments, please fill in the form below.
